Effective January 4, 2010 Covina City Hall,
125 E. College Street
New operating hours are
Monday - Thursday, 7 am - 6 pm and closed every Friday.

Public Works City Yard, 534 N. Barranca Avenue
New operating hours are
Monday - Thursday, 6 am - 4:30 pm and closed every Friday.

There will be no change to the operating hours of the
Parks & Recreation Department or the Covina Public Library.

Public Safety services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Public Works staff are on-call 7 days a week for water utility and street maintenance emergencies. To report a water or street problem (other than shut-off for non-payment) on a closed day, call the Covina Police Department at (626) 384-5595.

Freeway Closures Scheduled for I-10 HOV Project

Baldwin Park - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close portions of the San Bernardino Freeway (I-10) as part of the High Occupancy Vehicle lane construction project. The following schedule will be in effect, weather permitting:

Friday, February 5:
8 p.m. to 10 a.m. – Southbound I-605 connector to eastbound I-10.
7 p.m. to 10 a.m. – Northbound I-605 connectors to I-10.
8 p.m. to 7 a.m. – Northbound I-605 Valley Boulevard on-ramps.

Westbound I-
10
10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
– Up to 3 lanes from Puente Avenue to I-605.
9 p.m. to 9 a.m. – Connector to I-605.
7 p.m. to 10 a.m. – Frazier Street, Baldwin Park Boulevard and Francisquito Avenue on- and off-ramps.
9 p.m. to 9 a.m. – Puente Avenue on-ramp.

Eastbound I-
10
11 p.m. to 8 a.m.
– Up to 3 lanes from I-605 to Puente Avenue.

Flatiron West, Inc. is the contractor on this $175 million project, which will add an HOV lane in each direction of I-10 between I-605 and Puente Avenue.  Anticipated completion is winter 2012. Caltrans reminds you to “Slow For the Cone Zone.”
