The Engineering Section is responsible for the following:

• Designs City street and sidewalk improvements and establishes the plans and specifications for City Capital Improvement Projects.
• Issues permits for projects affecting the public right-of-way.
• Inspects non-City projects that affect the public right-of-way.
• Provides information to the public about future improvements.
• Operation of the downtown municipal parking lots
• Operation of the City's traffic control systems.
