Emergency Notification
System
This service is
provided by Connect CTY and will be used to notify residents and business
owners in the event of an emergency or other event where water quality,
traffic routes or other issues that may be affect the public. The calls will be
made using publicly available telephone numbers unless residents choose to
add other numbers.

Residents and business owners may sign-up to add
notification options, including cell phones and/or e-mail addresses.

IMPORTANT
NOTICE:
Effective
January 4, 2010
Covina City Hall,
125 E. College Street
and
Public Works City Yard,
534 N. Barranca Avenue
offices will change service hours
New operating hours will be
Monday - Thursday, 7 am
- 6 pm and
closed every Friday.
Public Works staff are on-call 7 days a week for
water utility (other than
shut-off for non-payment) and street maintenance emergencies. To
report this type of emergency on a closed day,
call the Covina Police Department at (626) 331-3391.
There will be no change
to the operating hours of the
Parks & Recreation Department or the Covina Public Library.

Strategic Plan Update
At the October 6 regular meeting, the Covina City Council
accepted the Strategic Plan updated on September 22, 2009 . Progress on the
goals will be tracked monthly and reports will be made at the second City
Council meeting of each month.

Report Abandoned Property
Poor maintenance of residential properties has a
negative affect on property values and quality of life. Residents are
encouraged to report the addresses of suspected vacant and/or abandoned
properties by calling (626) 384-5470 or e-mail to
info@ci.covina.ca.us.

DVD copies of Covina City Council
meetings are available by request from the Covina
City Clerk's office, and for check-out at the Covina Public Library. DVDs
are available approximately 5 working days after the meeting.
Meetings are now also broadcast on Verizon FIO channel 42 and Time Warner channel 29
(Tuesdays & Thursdays only), the week following the meetings. For questions, contact the office of Public
